Just 8 months ago, Yeoh Yen Nee 杨燕妮 was a top 3 favorite in The Next Miss Universe Malaysia 2016 and it disappoints many people when the judges decided she was excluded in the top 8 with 14 finalist. But, a queen will be a queen. Yeoh Yen Nee 杨燕妮 is now the 1st runner up of Miss Malaysia Global Beauty Queen 2016, after rounds of state and national competition! She truly deserves it.
In The Next Miss Universe Malaysia 2016 top 14 finalists were Alicia Tan 陈安莉, Ariessa Lam 林缋萤, Cindy Ng 黄欣仪, Dhivya Dhyana, Hazelin Ng 吴淑慧, Jennifer Ling 林淑玶, Kiran Jassal, Lina Soong 宋美拎, Loveena Ruban, Nisha Sema, Rema Rao, Chow Shiat Teen 周雪婷, Swarna Naidu and Yeoh Yen Nee 杨燕妮.

My personal favorite top 8 out of the 14 finalist would have been Alicia Tan 陈安莉, Cindy Ng 黄欣仪, Dhivya Dhyana, Jennifer Ling 林淑玶, Kiran Jassal, Lina Soong 宋美拎, Swarna Naidu, and Yeoh Yen Nee 杨燕妮.
My absolute number one favorite is Kiran Jassal. She is gorgeous. I can’t think of anyone other than Kiran Jassal who deserve The Next Miss Universe Malaysia 2016 title. My second favorite is Yeoh Yen Nee 杨燕妮. She is just to super lovely. Lina Soong 宋美拎 and Swarna Naidu were my other favorites in the line.

After watching all episodes, I am convinced that the winner should be Kiran Jassal. She’s good in almost everything. My love for Yen Nee grow even more. Yes, she may not speak that well compare to other contestants, but has got all the other qualities - hip, urban, relevant and real. Yen Nee is also very pretty and that is a fact. You will know it when you are always the chosen one by the sponsors especially in performing “beauty” demonstration. Its simple, they will instinctively select the most beautiful one to represent their beauty products or services.

In the episode The Next Miss Universe Malaysia 2016 - Hair Raising Experience, Yen Nee was one of the two chosen one by L'Oreal Creative Stylist to demonstrate hair styling. Just look at Yen Nee. Isn’t she gorgeous?
In the episode The Next Miss Universe Malaysia 2016 - Head Turning Make-Over by Shawn Cutler! Yen Nee was also the only chosen one by the L'Oreal Creative Stylist to make a Head Turning Make-Over. I have never seen a lady look so beautiful while she is doing a hair make over. This is just great.
In the episode The Next Miss Universe Malaysia 2016 - Sexy Cat Eye Meets Seductive Smokiness!, Yen Nee was also one of the two chosen one for make up demonstration.
First on the list with the most online vote is Alicia Tan. Okay, not bad. Then Nisha Sema! Now I’m nervous. There is only 6 left. Dhivya Dhyana. Ok, she’s good too. Then, Lina Soong and finally the hot favorite Kiran Jassal! Now 3 space left. There is still Swarna Naidu and Yen Nee. Then, they announced Jennifer Ling 林淑玶 and Cindy Ng 黄欣仪. Now, there is only one place left. It has got to be between Swarna Naidu or Yen Nee. To be it should not have reached this stage. They both deserved to be in the top 8. We are talking about top 8, not top 5 or top 3 yet. It is just unbelievable to eliminate any one of them. Between them, if I had to choose, I will go for Yen Nee. Then, they announced Swarna Naidu. My heart breaks and so did many other people. I mean, Yen Nee, not even getting into top 8? Seriously?
Yes, I love Yen Nee.
