Shell Game 2 was a very interesting TVB series. The mistress of the greatest gambler in china is a very old man. Chow Yun Fat who goes undercover work with Lisa Lui Yau Wai to defeat the old man and then gets all his business. Of course, Chow and Lisa Lui Yau Wai had intimate relationship. Chow's goal was to revenge for his master Patrick Tseh Yin. Lisa Lui Yau Wai by default didn't have to get involve cause she will be rightful owner of all his business should the old man dies as he is already very old and his son is dead. But, being the most beautiful in Shanghai at that time it was a waste to see her being with such an old man especially there are many young and successful guys chasing after Lisa Lui Yau Wai.
Chow on the other hand didn't really have a complete relationship. The woman he loves, Lisa Wong ends up being the wife of his master. His own wife is an arranged marriage which he never really love. During the difficult times in undercover life, his only real satisfaction was his relationship with Lisa Lui Yau Wai. Although they made use of each other, their relationship seems real. Lisa Lui Yau Wai was jealous of his wife and he has no problem kicking his wife out of the house just to prove his love to her. They were really one of the kind and very compatible. Both young, good looking and smart. A great match.
But, the relationship was strained when Chow decides to being back the handicapped Patrick Tesh Yin to be in charge of the casino. Lisa Lui Yau Wai told him that is not a good idea as he was no longer who he is and this will jeopardize their business. Lisa Lui Yau Wai sent people to embarrassed him. So, Chow confronted her and wanted to separate their business.

| Since Chow has people guarding all his territories, her men suggested Chow has a younger brother. So, they decide to kidnapped him, ask Chow to go there and kill them all. Lisa Lui Yau Wai was forced to make this step. In fact, she didn't mind sharing with Chow had he not been stubborn. |

| Gun shots were heard. Lisa Lui Yau Wai rushed for her gun, but Chow was already there. She was forced to put down her gun. |

| Lisa Lui Yau Wai said since you didn't die, why don't we forget everything like before? She can easily make that kind of suggestion although she has just sent people to kill him because she think he still has feeling for her. |

| Chow removed the gun and asked her why she is forcing him as he has no intention of fighting with her. |

| Lisa Lui Yau Wai said as long as you don't kill her, he can have everything, all her businesses. |

| Chow said all money can't be compared to his brother's death. Lisa Lui Yau Wai convinced him again that he comes to Shanghai all for money and he can have anything now and all he needs to do is let her live. |

| Chow scream her to shut up and point the gun at her head. |

| Lisa Lui Yau Wai was terrified. She was helpless. He killed his brother. He doesn't want money. She is going to die. |

| She can't breath. She hold her breath and expect to die anytime now. Her heartbeat was going high. |

| Lisa Lui Yau Wai took her next releasing breath after a long time. |

| Lisa Lui Yau Wai confirm. She said you are not killing me? |

| Chow said Yes, I am not killing you as no matter how many people I kill, my brother will still be dead. |

| She looked at this guy and start to really study him. To her, she killed her brother and he didn't even want to seek revenge? He is really in love with her. He just can't kill her no matter what she does. Lisa Lui Yau Wai was really that important to Chow. |

| Chow wants her to leave Shanghai. Lisa Lui Yau Wai don't want to give up everything. She picked up the gun. |

| Lisa Lui Yau Wai no longer afraid that he will shoot as he won't. She is just concern about her injured arm. |

At the end, Lisa Lui Yau Wai leave Shanghai in the train giving up everything. But, in the private train cabin, she was caught by the old man and his newly hired gun men. They quickly close her mouth not allowing her to talk. Then, he used a surgery knife to open her heart to see if its black. If she is given the opportunity to speak, she might be able to convince him or at least some of his people to save her. Its really sad. She killed Chow's brother and yet he let her live. She was not directly involve in the fall of the old man and also didn't he think all the enjoyment he had all these years with this young beautiful woman? Why is there a need to kill her in such a brutal manner?
The old man also captured Chow for a final showdown on gambling in which the loser will die. By now, Chow was already a heart broken man. He should have learn about the death of Lisa Lui Yau Wai. He has the heart to release her after she killed his brother but this old man just take her life like that. As there is nothing worth living anymore, Chow go ahead with the game and his aim was to seek revenge for Lisa Lui Yau Wai. He lost. At least, he tried.
