There several good contestants this year. Before the pageant, the media has identified the top 5 favorites. They are -
No. 4 Bonny HU 胡佩玲 from Foshan for her notable dimple.
No. 5 Grace CHAN 陳凱琳 from Hong Kong for her charm.
No. 9 Lucia LORIGIANO 黃婷麗 from Montréal for her sharp feature.
No. 14 Phyllis DAI 戴婕菲 from Sydney for her great face, great body and basically flawless.
No. 16 Cindy ZHONG 鍾熠 Vancouver for her confidence.
I could’t agree more. These are my favorites too. I love Phyllis Dai. I would love to have her win the title but Grace Chan is very strong. I think Grace Chan will win and Phyllis Dai will be in the top 3.
Here’s the show. It started with self introduction and Phyllis Dai 戴婕菲 comes out looking like an angel. She said, she’s a confident person.
Then, the evening dress. I love it. From here, the clearly stands out contestants are Grace Chan, Phyllis Dai and Lucia Lorigiano.

Hong Kong did very good as she’s very confident. Kuala Lumpur said the most crazy thing she has done was to drive to Genting at night for a cup of coffee. What is so crazy about that? Most people has done that and not everyone knows Genting. Lucia Lorigiano did good as she’s always interesting. Sydney Phyllis Dai did well.
Second round disqualification.
All 14 contestants now dressed in swim wear. 4 will be eliminated to reach top 10.

I think the MC mixed up, when she called No. 12 earlier, it was supposed to be No. 14 Phyllis Dai. And the last one was No 10.

Now comes another round of Q&A with swim suits.
Hong Kong has measurement of 31, 22, 32, a perfect hourglass figure. She did great in Q&A. Montréal has measurement of 34, 24.5, 35 another perfect hourglass figure and did pretty good in Q&A. Sydney’s Phyllis Dai 戴婕菲 measurement 34.5, 24.5, 34 an exceptional hourglass figure who can speak well in both mandarin and Cantonese except her speech was joked by Eric Tsang’s 80’s slang. Cindy Zhong 鍾熠Vancouver has pear shaped figure but has some confidence. Kuala Lumpur Zhiny Ooi 黃之豫 figure 33, 23.5, 35 is flat and her answers were well not interesting. All I can say about her is, very tall.
Now comes elimination to top 6. Sydney’s Phyllis Dai 戴婕菲 wore a dancing dress and I’m looking forward to see her in action.

The gorgeous Phyllis Dai 戴婕菲 was eliminated. Eric Tsang expressed shocked and surprised. He said all the while everybody expects the top 5 to be all from big numbers except for Hong Kong. Now, that’s just No. 16 from Vancouver. Yes, everybody expect Phyllis Dai 戴婕菲 to be in top 5.

By the time the 1st runner up is called, Zhiny Ooi 黃之豫 from Kuala Lumpur knows she’s not getting anything. Astro from Malaysia has to look beyond just sending tall girls. Tall girls are safe choices for advancing to top 5. You got to be more interesting and take some chances. Contestants like Fancy Goh 吳胤婷 or Elise Tan 陈玢奾 would be good.
