Leanne Li and Ali Lee in Fashion War 潮流教主 2016

I am beginning to to truly enjoy Fashion War 潮流教主 2016 due to exceptional acting of several actress in this TVB series. I enjoy the performance and story lines between Moses Chan as Ip Long (葉朗), Chief Editor of MODES magazine with people who betrayed him. He is a great leader who sees true value in people. Even if these people are his enemies, someone who betrayed him, etc. As long as he sees real value in them, he will find ways to rescue them by first torturing them first, especially when it comes to woman providing it benefits MODES.

Ali Lee as Vincy Kei Wan-wan (紀芸芸) is the newly hired head of advertisement at MODES. It is clear that Vincy is going all out to destroy Ip Long, but when it really matters, guys will help her, including Him Law as Francis Fan Gwok-bong (范國邦), Joel Chan as Martin Ma Sing-ho (馬承浩) and Moses Chan as Ip Long (葉朗) himself. When Vincy was being sued for defamation and the only way to rescue her is to allow a lower quality brand advertise in the magazine, Ip Long rejected the idea. Vincy has no choice and needs to resign, but before she does that, Ip Long comes out with a brilliant plan to rescue her. Why? Because only her can sell lots of advertisements and Ip Long knows her strength.

But, my favorite character has got to be Leanne Li as Martha Man Yee-wah (萬綺華), a Former MODES model and current owner of Beauty Model Agency. She is strong and yet vulnerable. Her only goal is to built Beauty Model Agency better. Working with Ip Long is great, except there is always people offering her irresistible benefits to betray Ip Long and if successful, Beauty Model Agency will be in a completely different league all together. However, if she fail, it only takes Ip Long one word to completely destroy her Agency.

The best thing is, in just few episodes, she betrayed Ip Long twice, first with Hanjin Tan as Man Ci Wai-man (池偉文) an executive at the parent company that publish MODES HRG publishing group and second time with Koni Lui as Zita Hung Si-ting (洪詩婷) a former editor at MODES who is now chief editor at GINA magazine in which she did not directly get involve. Even though Ip Long threaten Martha, but he will not do any real harm to her as he truly value her leadership in Beauty Model Agency. MODES can work with any model agency but the real value is in Leanne Li as Martha Man Yee-wah (萬綺華).
