The first round of elimination was very heartbreaking. No 4 Cynthia Qiu 邱芳思 from Foshan and No 13 Stella Kae 曲斯云 from Singapore were quickly eliminated although they put in great performance.
The top 4 were selected
No.2 Chantrarachai Boonyisa (Poppy) - Bangkok
No.5 Cheung Carat Ming Nga - Hong Kong
No.6 Tzushiuan Denise Tan - Kuala Lumpur
No.16 Tang Pui Yee (Gloria) - Vancouver
The balance 5 contestants were supposed to battle themselves with some talent show to gain entry into top 5. This is very a sad moment. No 9 Jacky Cai 蔡潔 from Melbourne and No 14 Sunnia Liu 劉夢涵 from Sydney were there. Seeing either one of them go will be very sad. Jacky Cai 蔡潔 put in a great Chinese instrument show and Sunnia Liu 劉夢涵 did Chinese painting. Majority of the other contestant voted for Jacky Cai 蔡潔 as she was also the winner of Media Popularity Award. The big surprise was, the judges love No15 Jessica Song Qinyi from Toronto's dance so much that they forgot this is a beauty pageant.
So, now we're down to the top 5

Denise TAN 陳楚寰 Kuala Lumpur

The result is pretty clear from here. Hong Kong must be placed into top 3, that's the norm. They are not selecting Bangkok to be the winner no matter how good looking she is. The Toronto contestant made it because of the dance. The winner spot is really only between Gloria Tang and Denise Tan, but Gloria Tang wins hands down in all aspect. Gloria Tang is a well deserving winner.

I think Gloria Tang is a great winner. No one else from the 16 list of contestants could possibly take her spot except for Jacky Cai 蔡潔 from Melbourne. Jacky Cai could really become the winner. Just how can the judges drop her from top 5 when the media and even the other contestants love her? Jacky Cai should have automatic entry into top 5. A top 3 spot for Jacky Cai is not too much to ask for.
Cynthia QIU 邱芳思 Foshan, Stella KAE 曲斯云 Singapore, Sunnia LIU 劉夢涵 Sydney are great top 5 contestants. Its sad, really sad.
